Library
The library is one of the university¡¯s core facilities, supporting study, education and research activities. It houses 370,000 books, including a highly unique collection of 14,000 children¡¯s books and 40,000 textbooks/tutorial manuals dating back as far as 200 years. It is open until 10pm (excluding vacation periods) and also on weekends from 10am to 5pm.

Affiliated Research Center for
English Education in Elementary Schools
With foreign language (English) education in elementary schools now compulsory, this center offers a variety of English education support for schools, while also conducting research and analysis in a number of areas including hands-on activities, theory, Japanese education in relation to English education, and bilingual education.

Student Counselor¡¯s Room
In the Student Counselor¡¯s Room, professional counseling is available to help students who have troubles or concerns relating to any issue. The student counselor will listen to and help you resolve any problems ranging from small worries to larger concerns related to studies, personal matters, career, and mental and health issues. We can also provide access to other opportunities if you wish to go further than the counseling provided at our university.

Career Support Center
Career Support Center consists of Career Support Division and Volunteer Activity Support Division. The former offers individual career consultation and training for job-interviews for students who seek careers as a teacher, public servant or in business, along with offering Teacher-Employment Test-specific training. Volunteer Activity Support Division conducts administrative work for various volunteer activities and internships in order to support students¡¯ independent activities.

Support Room for Students with Disabilities
Full-time staff provide total support for students with disabilities. Volunteer students assist greatly with support activities, with disability not dividing the supporting and the supported. Many of our alumni say that their experience of taking part in support activities was extremely helpful in their career.

Shuho Kaikan Student Hall
Shuho Kaikan Student Hall houses a large meeting room, meeting room, International-local Exchange Room, common space, University Information Plaza, alumni room, cafeteria, kiosk and cafe ? a true oasis for your university life.

Health Management Center
Health Management Center is the first contact point for students with health issues, observing and promoting both their physical and mental health. Doctors and nurses are there to give instruction and advice, as well as providing first-aid in case of emergency.

University Auditorium
With a seating capacity of 600, the University Auditorium is used for events run by the university, university classes, club activities, and special lectures.

Sports Facilities
MUE has an athletics track (400m) and field, gym, martial arts hall, dance room, baseball field, tennis court, archery field, swimming pool (50m) and Expressive Activities Building.

Student Accommodation
The dormitory for male students, which is on campus, has 120 rooms while the dormitory for female students is located in Mizunomori, Sendai and has 68 rooms. Each room is shared by 2 students and is equipped with a bed, desk, a chair, bookshelf and locker.

Camp Facilities
Camp facilities are located on campus, and are used for circle, class and seminar activities.

Aobayama Hands-on Study Room
Located at the entrance of a walking trail that leads to Aoba Forest, the Aobayama Hands-on Study Room is an education/research institute that is actively used for a variety of activities such as hands-on education at the neighboring Mt. Aoba and research for practical education based on Campus Museum Vision.

Affiliated Schools and Kindergarten
As a university for nurturing teachers, conducting teaching practice and carrying out research, our affiliated kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school and school for special needs education are among the most important of our facilities as they provide a vital connection to the classroom.
